Where SURARUS Began

Where SURARUS Began

Before SURARUS became a studio, it started as a realization.

When I looked at the objects tourists carried home from Armenia, I couldn’t find a reflection of the true beauty I saw in the country. The depth, the refinement, the architectural soul were missing.
There were magnets, trinkets, brooms…
But there were no high-quality, elevated, meaningful objects that captured Armenia the way I experienced it - through structure, through emotion, through memory.

So I created my first object:
a porcelain vase inspired by the Cascade, with carved patterns referencing the geometry and reliefs of Yerevan.

That vase opened the door.
Then came the candles.
Then the fragrances.
And somewhere in this quiet evolution, SURARUS became a language - my way of speaking about heritage, architecture, and emotion.
